Traviata is the 1st Companions 360opera production that is not set in a specific time or place. Our creative team has created a world that doesn’t only tell the tragic love story of a noble man (Alfredo) and a courtesan (Violetta) in a moving way, but also wants to explain why this opera, since her premiere, has such a high impact on audiences all over the world.

It is through the book of Alexander Dumas and the music of Giuseppe Verdi that Violetta’s life story is universally known. In our concept her story is also used to ask attention for the lives and love stories of the thousands and thousands of unknown and forgotten courtesans all over the world from the past till today.
